Founded in 2022 by Ntahan Mugisha, a Kigali-based tech entrepreneur, Kakofi emerged from a simple realization: African creators needed better tools to monetize their work and engage with audiences.

Our platform has evolved through collaboration with over 1,000 Rwandan creators, from traditional dancers in Butare to digital artists in Gisenyi. We've processed over $500,000 in tips and digital sales, helping creators build sustainable careers.
